One hour microlight flight experience THE One Hour Microlight Experience gift voucher makes a fabulous present. Our most popular gift voucher - price £99 - is ideal for people who have never been up in a microlight before. We meet in the clubhouse of the Scottish Flying Club at Strathaven Airfield and are briefed on how the aircraft works and aviation safety. We then get kitted up for the flight - fleecy-lined flying suits, safety helmets, gloves and intercoms are all provided. We have even got electric heated jackets for winter flights! The aircraft has dual controls and for this flight you will be in the back seat (which saves you having to think about some technical bits on start-up - the only dual controls we don't have are the starter switch and the taxying brakes). Then it is up, up and away for a 30-40 minute flight around central Scotland with plenty of time for some "hands-on" flying. Popular destinations include Bothwell Castle, New Lanark, the Clyde valley or over towards Kilmarnock. Our aim is to give you an experience to treasure!
